But is it the average?  or are they view separately? or take the highest/lowest?  the 32/27 score is a 29.5 average and that would be a huge bummer if it got dq'ed for that...

It is the average that is counted for eligibility for medals, Homebrew Hero, etc.

To my knowledge, we did not have to DQ anyone in the competition.  We came close with a couple who failed to fill out recipe info, but they got that corrected.  One came very close due to his bottles, but again, we did not DQ.

If you mean, did that DQ you for medal consideration?  In that case, I'm afraid so.  Since in most cases, there were only two scores, there was no rounding up.

Yes.  They will be out in the next week or so.  They are being shipped back to me in Birmingham.  When they get here, I will scan them in and associate them with your account.

Hey olan, could you send me the tracking numbers for the division winners for malty and hoppy? It's definitely not because I plan on intercepting them or anything sinister like that..

Someone posted on the main page/announcement about asking for recipes. Will they be automatically posted/included here? I'm happy to opt-in if it's optional.

I don't mind sharing my recipes at all and in fact I was going to use it as an excuse to write up a blog post here or on a blog I own but never use :)

So for Homebrew Hero it'll be the overall average from all scores you got, right? So I'm at ~31.4 average. No idea what my chances are for a cape but I can hope!

You needed to enter three beers, and all three beers had to score at least a 30 each.

We haven't made the official announcement yet - we have a fun idea for that - but we had exactly three brewers qualify for the award, and they have been contacted via email already.

Ah ok. So my ESB that got 30/28 took me out of the running for that.

Oh well.

Next time!

Unless you've discovered that running a competition is a logistics nightmare and aren't gonna do another of course :)

I saw that the Beer Sheets have been added, but I am unable to open them.  It says something about the PDF format not being compatible.  Is anyone else experiencing this?
