Well, it adds to the total prizes list. Granted, I still probably wouldn't use that certificate, but, it sure helps raise the interest in the competition.

Yep.  I find it hard to believe that more prizes is ever a bad thing.

Can we get a mod to curate this thread and cull out all of your b.s. posts, so we can just cut to what's important -- to wit, what I'm going to be winning in October?

lol @ curating my posts.

I love the trash talking.  Keep it up.  It'll be fun to see who manages to back it up.

Add another sponsor, we're now over $3800 in prizes!

BeerSmith has graciously agreed to donate five copies of BeerSmith 2 to be given as prizes.

For BeerSmith if the winners of that already have it, you should raffle 'em off to people that don't have it within the competition. That'd be pretty cool.

I already have it so either way I wouldn't need that, just an idea since that scenario is likely enough with five copies.

Fenix,

The bulk of the prizes will be going to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each Division.  However, each style winner will receive something, and we have quite a few prizes to be awarded to random contestants.

As for BeerSmith - I may well ask people to answer whether or not they own it prior to them being allowed to print shipping labels.  That way, we can be sure to award those to people who can use it.

What?  You thought we were done?

We are proud to welcome Accidentalis.com as another sponsor for this year's fantastic event.  The prizes here will be a 2L starter kit, as well as a "full version' download of the latest Bru'n Water.  Yes, we are over $3800 in prizes.

So, things just went from awesome to silly territory.

We just added a new sponsor - please welcome HomeBrewSupply, who slides in as the new top sponsor in terms of overall dollar value donated.

They will be donating the winner's choice of a new 5 gallon or 3 gallon ball lock keg for each of our three 1st place Division winners.  They will also be donating the winner's choice of a recipe kit for each of our three 2nd place Division winners.

Oh... and they are also pitching in to our grand prize kitty with the winners choice of either a 10 gallon or 15 gallon AMCYL stainless brew kettle - as well as the winner's choice of 6" or 2" weldless thermometer upgrade.

That's better than $600 of "real" prizes, putting us to over $4400 in prizes, overall!

I was going to go get the yeast for my bock tonight, but then i remembered the regional fair is this weekend.  I really dont know if i feel like driving through that city right now (considering I already loathe getting to that HBS because of how the roads are around there)

Also, i think were something like a week from the first preseason game :D
